Believe it or not, the oldest Orange tree in California is in Oroville!

Brought to California in 1856 as a novelty in 1856, it has spawned multiple generations of citrus farmers. The tree has been relocated twice, once in 1862 to avoid flooding and again in 1964 during construction of Oroville Dam. It survived a near-fatal frost in 1998, and is bearing fruit again.
