Grey Fox Vineyards

Grey Fox Vineyards is proud to offer four main estate grown varietals: Sangiovese, Syrah, Barbera, and Zinfandel – very suitable to our warm climate. Smaller plantings of Grenache, Mouvedre, Dolcetto, Muscat and Viognier finish out the vineyard and allow for some creative blending. The Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet grapes come from the Mendocino area, which has the cooler conditions necessary to give Grey Fox the premium grapes needed to create these outstanding wines. 90 Grey Fox Lane, 530-589-3920,

Olive Oil

Berkeley Olive Grove 1913

Organic olive oil is the product of a long and unique heritage dating back to the early 1900s with the establishment of the Berkeley Olive Association.  Nearly a century later, Darro and Olivia Grieco began bringing the historic orchard back to its full potential. Certified organic, the Berkeley Olive Grove continues with most current sustainable practices supporting both orchard and wildlife.

The Berkeley Olive Grove 1913 oils have won numerous awards including Best of Class and Best of Show in the L.A. International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition; Gold Medals at the New York International Olive Oil Competition.  The Berkeley Olive Grove 1913 label also won a gold medal for “understated, timeless elegance”.

Ever attentive to details, all bottles display each olive oil’s lab analysis for the high polyphenols (relating to the antioxidant values) on every label.

There are 2 steep grades within a 2-mile distance from Lake Oroville on each side of the dam. Bolt’s Antique Tool Museum

Bolt’s Antique Tool Museum displays tools manufactured during or prior to WWII, including a set of sockets hand forged by a blacksmith and discovered in a junk store in Kalispell, Montana. Bud Bolt, a high school shop teacher, started collecting in 1957 as a way to get his students to pay more attention. His idea was to show the students the difference between the unwieldy old tools their grandfathers might have used and the modern ones.
