Gallagher Awarded Legislator of the Year from National Multiple Sclerosis Society
From an Assemblyman James Gallagher Press Release
Today, Assemblyman James Gallagher (R – Yuba City), was awarded Legislator of the Year from the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society for his leadership in support of Senate Bill 17. This bill promotes transparency in drug prices by requiring prescription drug manufacturers to provide purchasers justification for increasing drug prices in California.
“It was an honor to be recognized by the MS Society for my voting record. Consumers in my district deserve transparency in prescription drug pricing. My vote was about nothing more than trying to do the right thing,” said Gallagher.
The National MS Society helps each person affected by MS address the challenges of living with MS. The organizations helps by raising funds for cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education and providing programs and services that empower people with MS and their families to move their lives forward.
