DWR Address Public Concerns About Safety of Oroville Dam
From KRCR News Channel 7
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) continues to work on the Oroville Dam spillway and has released information about safety concerns related to the dam.
This week DWR started ramping down releases from the main spillway, with flows being reduced to zero on May 1. Outflows from the Hyatt Powerplant were increased to approximately 8,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) to help manage river flows and maintain safe lake elevations.
