OROVILLE CITY COUNCIL
TOWN HALL MEETING
OROVILLE, CA. May 17, 2017 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A Special Meeting of the Oroville City Council, in a “Town Hall” format, will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 5:30 P.M.to 7:30 P.M. at the Historic Oroville State Theatre, 1489 Myers Street, Oroville. The meeting will allow the public an opportunity to provide comments to the City Council regarding the spillway incident and how it affected City of Oroville residents, relationship with the California Department of Water Resources and the Oroville Supplemental Benefits Fund. Information about the Supplemental Benefits Fund can be accessed at www.cityoforoville.org (select Government and then select Supplemental Benefits Fund)
Prior to the Town Hall Meeting, from 4:30 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. there will be general information areas in the foyer of the theatre providing an opportunity to meet City Staff, receive printed information and a time to write out your comment(s).
Town Hall meetings can be traced back to the 17th century and have been a place for public debate or discussion between the elected and their constituents.
