The Oroville Economic Alliance (OEA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization made up of business supporters and local agencies promoting economic development in Oroville and all of Butte County. The Alliance comprises both public and private sector organizations including South Feather Water & Power Agency; City of Oroville; Butte County, and is managed by the Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Oroville Economic Index focuses on the performance of the local Oroville economy, giving business leaders objective measures of where the economy has been, quarter-to-quarter and year-to-year. The Index measures data from five specific topics, all equally weighted and seasonally adjusted, using 2007 as the base year. The report measures: Sales Tax, Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT), total dollar value of Building Permits issued, Employment, and average Housing Sales prices.

Oroville Strong! is a union of organizations focused on leveraging resources and expertise to provide outreach and direct business assistance to Oroville businesses. The goal of this Economic Development Page initiative is business expansion and retention; resulting in job creation and placement, and capital infusion.
We conduct monthly business walks, meeting one-on-one with businesses clustered throughout the Oroville Area. We deliver Smart Business Links, a quick reference guide to the various business resources in Oroville and the Oroville Economic Index; identify specific business needs and develop a protocol to address the identified needs and issues of key industry sectors.
